Cognitive Thrftonance

Before we get to the foray of Charity shops and cash convertors the first thing I did this time out is drum up quite a bit of credit with the trade pile I had going, Combining All the Classic Dr who dvd from last week with the run off of games I had amassed for there good Trade value.

I got myself a PSvita, I have always wanted one to take advanage of all the Free games you get with playstation plus So a £134 credit note later I bag one with a 4gb memory Card, Right from the Top 4gb totally Falls short if your going to invest in a vita 16gb or more, So I mange to sort a 16gb memory card out and got my free games on, Its a really nice device, Its like Some one took a Android tablet a Nvidia Grahpics card and a dual shock 3 and mash them all into one peace of tech, Well apart from any decent Flash support, youtube works great on it but nothing much beyond that, Sadly its something we have all come to expect with Console based internet experiances watered down half internet I don't Get why they do this? As for the Games some stand out stuff Uncharted is exceptionally good for a handheld game making good used of the Analogue sticks, Gravity Rush and Touch my Katamari very playable two, The sad thing is there is not much beyond that worth playing, I do want Dragons Crown But this is out for ps3 as well? Shame its going the same way as Wii U really slow release, I am sure these flailing consoles will pick up speed eventually, Just look at when the DS Came out every one was saying the PSP was done for and that had a Crap ton of awesome software come out for it, On the plus side you can play psp and ps1 on the vita, and for Trade I am not complaining even if it does suffer an early death I will probably ended up liking it more, Reminds me of the Dreamcast.

Right then pick ups, Starting us off Is Chameleon Twist, For years me and my mate hated this game, It turns out I hated number 2 and he hated this one non the less they are both pants don't let that Really nice condition Cart fool you £2.99 from Cash convertors.

Harvest moon friends of mineral town from the same shop For £1.99 They had a hold bunch of nice GBA titles but the prices where really close to ebay, It going that way with a lot of the Cash convertors lots of retro from the local shops turning up online way over priced.

Resident Evil Dead Aim in another Cash Convertors this one getting it right only 99p, I wouldn't mind giving this a good crack but I havn't Got a CRT tv anymore, Non of the old Light guns G-Con 45 G-Con 2 etc work on modern TV's.
There was a time when Old PC games had nothing in them, Then about a year ago interest seemed to peak, So now if I see one That looks Interesting and worth a go on before it gets ebayed and 50p for Realms of the Haunting why not.

Time Crisis Razing Storm, Paid £9, Really wanted it Just got a move and this had 3 games in one, Razing Stom Time Crisis 4 Deadstorm Pirates, I saw deadstorm Pirates in an arcade when I was visiting friends in whales, But that day I was way to hung over to have a go I just remember Edging closer to the Arcade cabinet with my two pound coin but the frobbing in my head kept pulling me back, So Finally going to get to play it, Incidentally there is no digital copy of this game on the PlayStation Store Its a Disc only game Strange?

Shadow the Hedgehog for GameCube I used to be miles more picky with GameCube games but there that thin on the ground now anything that's not sports seems worth while and at 50p Who's to Argue with that.
Black & White 2, Collector's Edition, Seems the case with most PC games about 5-8 years old as long as you get a nice looking special/Collectors copy it has more value this one was 50p from Dove house.

The Never Ending Story For 25p Yeah there is not much out there that's not worth 25p and a Nostalgia fest like this its a no brainer, Now I can A-B repeat Bastian saying the child like empress name at the end and try and ditherer what his saying "abaderyou" what?

Crysis for P.C the Depressing thing about finding this game is it came out in 2007 and I still don't have a machine that can run it at a decent frame rate may be next time I find this I will have a better computer and Screen shots living the dream, That been a laptop that was Top spec in 2011.

Titan Quest In a Tin Case for 50p, I think this is just the standard version of the game but the Tin Case makes it look cool, again 50p.
Worzel Gummidge DVDs £1 each, coming of the back of my Classic Dr who DVD logic, I pick these up the box set has Got £3 in it, But the single DVD are next to worthless, So I guess I have loads of Worzel Gummidge to watch not that I really Remember this that well?
The 70% off anything £10.99 or under is still going on at block buster, This time in my alternate local store down Newland avenue, Final Fantasy XIII 2 for £3.29
And This Pain Game that at First Glance I was thinking it was a move game but its just some mad Game you play with the standard controller but £1.79 the price is right, All The shops clearing out for PS4 and Xbone stock.

50p For these 3rd party High Grade Cables, One 3 pin and one S video, 50p each sealed up still in the packets Sweet!.

After sorting my Vita out had A 4gb memory card to get shot off and I had some Credit notes left over so Picked up Street Fighter Alpha Anthology and Grandia 2.

Be doing quite well Since I have Fired my 360 back up, I was Just going to play the campaign on Halo 4, Then the 14 day free code inside the box worked so I have been Playing It online quite a bit, Making a nice change from the old COD action.

Then My mates who don't Really play online had a look inside the games collection and Drummed up another 6 days for me what a beast, I wonder if you could ride this out for a year just buying cheap xbox games for the free code to get online?

Now and Again I do Find some good non game stuff out and about but £2.99 for a Guitar, Missing a string and a bit beat up but still in one piece and £2.99 to rescue a musical instrument Sweet!

Futurama Its a half Decent game based on the TV series I was going to add this to my collections next time I found it on Xbox, But £1 for the PS2 version is a good deal so hey.

Then I found It for £1 again in a The Next shop Down Crazy so I guess I will Stettle for one of these to go on the shelf and the other one can go to work getting me some easy feedback on ebay.

Teeage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Melee, Bit like the old school Snes games and £1.99 for a turtles game its a good price and in very good con.
Blow the dusted of the Guitar hero Guitars the other day, after getting a few of the 360 once I filled the gap with Rock the 80s on ps2 this one never had a next gen release and 49p its no sweat.

Been looking for this for Ages, Impossible Mission, Is a Remake/update of the Classic Impossible Mission for Commodore 64, This version Includes the original game as well £1 get in.

Rayman 10th Anntversary 3 games in one box all for 49p all books and discs in great con.

Again 49p For Ratchet and clank 3.

And On PSP The Simpsons Game and Tekken Dark Resserection for £2.50 each.
Paid a Whole £5 for this next game a Complete copy of Empire of Steel on Mega Drive plenty of money left in it about £10-£12 on ebay had to be bought, Copy's of Empire of steel don't turn up every day in the wild, its a cracking shooter with a cool steam punk look.

So Halloween Right round the corner I always like to play a horror game round this time, This Years choice is Resident Evil Code veronica X HD on 360, Its always got to be a resident evil for Halloween, Silent hill may tick most peoples boxes for a horror game fix but resi has always done it for me. People my like to watch horror films Or stuff the self with Chocolate I like to get my game on, But specking of Candy is that a big bar of toblerone on the desk that Claire Redfield is look at?
